From the first concept to the final production stage, every detail was refined with care. TRN Mermaid is not the result of a single moment of inspiration, but a product shaped through continuous improvements and long-term iteration.

To overcome the limitations of a single driver, TRN Mermaid uses a four-driver hybrid configuration. The system features a 10 mm dual-magnetic dynamic driver, a balanced armature, and two 6 mm planar magnetic drivers, each responsible for its own specific frequency range.

The dynamic driver delivers depth and impact in the low frequencies. The balanced armature enhances midrange clarity and detail, while the planar drivers extend the high frequencies with speed and precision. Together, they form a cohesive and well-controlled sound signature.

Thanks to precise crossover tuning, each driver operates efficiently within its designated range, creating a balanced and immersive soundstage with improved resolution across the entire frequency spectrum.

The TRN Mermaid is equipped with a Knowles 33518 balanced armature driver, which is responsible for clarity and detail in the mid- and high-frequency ranges. This driver is renowned for its fast response and precise sound reproduction, enabling subtle music details to remain clear and well-defined.

Working in harmony with the dynamic driver, the balanced armature enhances overall balance and coherence across the frequency spectrum. Transients are reproduced with speed and control, giving percussion, electronic sounds, and complex passages clean attacks and natural decay.

The result is a transparent and well-layered presentation, free from muddiness, where detail and accuracy remain consistent even at higher volumes.

TRN Mermaid features a pair of newly developed 6 mm planar magnetic drivers with titanium-coated diaphragms, designed to handle the mid- and high-frequency ranges with exceptional speed and control.

Thanks to the planar vibration mode, these drivers respond evenly across their surface, reducing distortion and improving detail consistency. Working together, the dual planar drivers precisely cover different frequency regions, enhancing soundstage width, separation, and overall resolution.

This design excels at reproducing fine textures in strings, natural warmth in vocals, and a strong sense of spatial depth. The result is an open, immersive presentation that conveys the atmosphere of a live performance, with a wide and well-defined soundstage that feels spacious yet controlled.

TRN Mermaid is engineered to minimize distortion across the entire frequency range through a carefully structured four-driver system. Each driver operates only within the range for which it is best suited, reducing overlap and unwanted interference.

Thanks to precise crossover tuning and controlled magnetic structures, signal accuracy is preserved from the diaphragm to the magnetic field. This approach helps maintain clarity in complex passages while keeping distortion levels extremely low.

TRN Mermaid is designed with long-term comfort in mind. Based on extensive 3D ear shape data, the shell follows the natural contours of the ear for a secure and pressure-free fit.

The shallow in-ear structure rests comfortably inside the ear without excessive insertion, while the smoothly curved ear hook supports natural positioning and stability. This design helps distribute weight evenly and reduces fatigue during extended listening.

Whether walking, running, or working with your head tilted down, the earphones remain securely in place, providing reliable comfort and stability throughout the day.

TRN Mermaid is supplied with a 4-strand silver-plated oxygen-free copper cable, designed to ensure stable and efficient signal transmission. The oxygen-free copper core offers low resistance, helping preserve signal integrity and minimize energy loss between the source and the earphones.

A precisely plated layer of high-purity silver enhances high-frequency conductivity, resulting in cleaner treble extension and improved detail definition. This combination supports a balanced and consistent sound across the frequency range.

The 4-strand parallel structure also helps reduce external electromagnetic interference, maintaining signal stability during everyday use. The cable is flexible, durable, and designed for long-term reliability.

Available with 3.5 mm or 4.4 mm connectors and a 0.78 mm 2-pin interface, the cable allows easy replacement or upgrading to suit different listening setups.
