The TRN Whale Shark is one of the TRN Marine Series products, inspired by the dominant creature of the vast ocean – the Whale Shark. In terms of appearance, it features a unique hollow design with smooth and dynamic lines. Meanwhile, crystal gems are embedded at the base. When illuminated, these gems radiate a profound and enchanting glow, evoking the mysterious shimmer of light in the deep sea, thereby endowing the design with an elegant temperament.

When the designer first laid eyes on the hand-drawn sketch of the whale shark, inspiration surged like a tidal wave — this gentle giant of the ocean is both a ruler of the deep and a walking work of art. Subtle, thoughtful touches are hidden in the details: the hollowed-out design on the outer faceplate of the TRN Whale Shark draws inspiration from the arrangement of dermal denticles (placoid scales) on the whale shark's skin. These tiny scales reduce water resistance, and the designer transformed them into a highly distinctive decorative element.

This design choice not only echoes biological features but also presents a delicate touch through matte coating technology. With TRN Whale Shark, we never intended to replicate a marine creature — instead, we sought to capture the qualities that resonate deeply with human perception. As the designer wrote in their notes, “When users wear it, we hope they feel not just a pair of earphones but the breath of the ocean, the flow of life, and the romance of nature and technology coexisting.”

The TRN Whale Shark is equipped with a premium configuration of three dynamic drivers and one planar magnetic driver on each side. Considering the distinct acoustic characteristics of these two types of drivers across different frequency ranges, our engineers conducted continuous adjustments and experiments to integrate them into a unified four-driver matrix acoustic architecture.

Through fine-tuning and precise control of the frequency response of each unit, TRN Whale Shark achieves an overall balance, stronger sound hierarchy and depth, and a smoother connection between frequency bands. The result is a more comprehensive auditory experience — every melody feels full of emotion, every note resonates like the deep sea, delivering pure sound quality that shocks the aural world.
